Mr. Chandra Shor Rai, the founder of Himalayan Diamond Adventure Pvt Ltd, is a pioneering figure in the trekking and climbing industry of Nepal. He is the first person from the Kirant Khaling community to have successfully summited Mt. Everest. He hails from Solududhkunda Municipality in Solukhumbu- Sagarmatha and is a self-made individual who has dedicated over a decade of his life to working in the travel and tourism industry of Nepal. Mr. Rai began his journey in the Himalayas in October 2001 and has never looked back since, despite the many hardships and struggles he has faced. He started as an Assistant Trekking Guide and worked his way up to the position of Senior Climbing Guide. To further enhance his skills, Mr. Rai has undergone several training and certifications. He completed the Trekking Guide Course from 26th July 2004 to 31st August 2004 in NEPAL ACADEMY OF TOURISM AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT. He also completed Mountaineering Skill Level – II in 2011, February through Khumbu Climbing Center. In the same year, he completed Basic Mountaineering Course organized by Alpine Association Slovenia and Nepal Mountaineering of Association, and Basic Rescue Training organized by NMIA. In 2013, he completed Advance Mountaineering Training and Rock-Climbing Course Level – I through NMIA. Similarly, Mr. Rai did High Mountain Rescue Training and Ice Climbing Course Level – I in 2015 through NMIA. Mr. Rai's love for adventure and mountains has taken him beyond the borders of Nepal.
