Ashok Kumar Tamang is a professional trekking and mountain guide who will soon be certified by the IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guide Association). He is originally from Solukhumbu, Sotang municipality in province No.09, but currently resides in Kathmandu. He is an English-speaking guide with a decade of experience in trekking and mountaineering. He has trekked in many popular tourist areas in Nepal, such as Jiri-Everest, Annapurna, Dolpa, Mustang, Manaslu, Rolwaling, Tasilapcha pass, Kanchanjangha, Dhaulagiri, and Langtang. He has also successfully climbed peaks such as Pharchomo (6,187m), Mera (6,654m), Island (6,189m), Laboche (6,126m), Pisang (6,190m), and Chulu-Far East (6,039m). He has also completed expeditions to Amadablam (6,812m), Kanjirowa (6,883m), and Himlung (7,126m).
